I grew up in Columbus, GA graduating from Columbus High.  It was during my high school years that I surrendered to the call to full-time ministry. Following high school, I attended Shorter University and received a Bachelor of Science majoring in Christian ministry. During college I had the opportunity to served both supportive and leadership roles in campus ministry. It was during this time at Shorter that I met Dana.

Dana Warren grew up in Dalton, GA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Shorter University. Following college Dana taught elementary grades in Texas.

After completing my undergraduate studies, I matriculated at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, to pursue a Master of Divinity. Later that same year Dana and I were married. During our time in Fort Worth, we were active members of Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth, and later I would serve as Associate Pastor of Garner Baptist Church in the Garner community near Mineral Wells, TX.

Following my studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, I accepted the call to serve as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Lancaster, South Carolina. During our time in South Carolina I enjoyed being active in Associational work, serving the Moriah Baptist Association in various roles.

I preached my first sermon as pastor of First Baptist Church, Adel, GA, on July 11, 2004. I enjoy being active in the local community and in the Valdosta Baptist Association. My passion is to lead and facilitate the development of God’s people to become active missionaries by developing disciples with a kingdom-missional perspective. As I have responded to His call, God has given me a passion to lead people to experience the riches of hope found only in Christ Jesus. This hope propels us to be about the kingdom work of making disciples and expressing our faith through worship, service, missions, the fellowship of believers, and maturing in His word. God has gifted me with gifts of preaching, discernment, and leadership along with a passion to see His people fulfilling our commission for and in each new generation.
