There is an old song titled “Order My Steps.” The first line says “order my steps in Your word dear Lord.” This is our prayer that we would be a people who are obedient to the word of God. As such we celebrate and take seriously the proclaiming of God’s truth.
Preach the Word
I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.
